Kostka out in first lap at Norisring

The top race of the season on Norisring track was really short for rookie Tomas Kostka. Czech driver went into place sixteen in qualifying, where he beat his team mate Bakkerud and Jarvis in 08 spec Audi. After the start of the race Tomas kept his position after first corner, but then in S chicane spun and his car was hit by Jarvis´s Audi and it was finish for both. ,,I did quite good start, then I started to fight for better position but suddenly I lost traction in the exit of S chicane, and I spun. Unfortunatelly Oliver drove close and our cars made contact. It´s a shame, but thats racing" said Kostka.

Czech DTM driver Kostka finished first race of the season in Hockenheim on eleventh place. After the start, Tomas´s Audi A4 DTM was pushed from behind a he made a spin, but without any big time lost. After Tomas pushed on and after some laps he passed team mate Seidlitz and Stoddart, and have some overtaking with Ralf Schumacher. In finish of 39 laps hot race czech rookie took place eleven, and first of 2007 cars. ,,The DTM is really cool, race was going well after I spun in first corner, but contacts in DTM are normal. I am happy to finish on this place, is good for my debut" said Kostka.

Tomas Kostka signed a contract in DTM with Kolles Futurecom-BRT team. He will drive Audi A4 DTM R13 (2007). Champion of sprint races of czech touring cars already made debut with new team on oficial DTM test in Hockenheim last week, and was really impressed with ,,The test was going well, I drove on day one and two, on dry and wet, and first impressions are very positive. Iam really happy, and want thanks to BRT manager Petr Najman and boss Milan Maderyc for support me to go into DTM. I still cant believe that I became DTM driver, thats great!" told Tomas. The season starts next week in Hockenheim.

Kostka impressed with Audi DTM team Futurecom-TME

Tomas Kostka made test with Audi DTM team Futurecom-TME in Almeria, where was test located. Young czech sprint champ was really impressed with car and circuit ,,I am satisfied with this test, I felt from the beginning big difference between newer Futurecom-TME car and my latest season car, its big difference. I want thanks to Audi Sport and Futurecom-TME for this opportunity" said Kostka.

Tomas confirmed sprint title with second place in endurance races after tyre worries in Brno

Tomas Kostka (BRT-Audi A4 DTM R12) took vice-champion title in Brno, where finished crew of BRT (Kostka,Maderyc,Bjork) on the third place after puncture in first hour of three hours race. Tomas set second place in qualifying behind Mercedes C-klasse DTM of Stefan Mucke and started like usually this year this final race of czech touring car championship, and with good tyre choice took czech sprint champion early race lead, which was close to one-minute gap to his biggest rival Tomas Enge (Mercedes DTM). Unfortunatelly after one third of this race Tomas had high speed puncture on rear left, and lost close to three minutes to the Mercedes. ,,I made good beginning phase of this race, I put on wets and it was right decision. After half hour I had comfortable gap to the Enge, and the endurance title was in my hands, but after pit stop and change to the slicks came tyre puncture and everything was over" said Kostka. This was fourth(!) puncture in this weekend, and one of them caused big crash of team boss Maderyc, who destroyed one of Audis completely. The car n.4 finished this three hours race on third place, and Tomas Kostka took second place in endurance championship. ,,This season was perfect for me and whole team, I am really happy that I scored title in sprint races for Audi after long long time, and the title it´s my present for the whole team!! explained Kostka.
